We’ve put together a list of the best dog-friendly pumpkin patches and farms in the area so you and your pup can have a blast together this season!

1. Abbey Farms (Aurora, IL)


Abbey Farms in Aurora is an awesome place to have a fun-filled fall day with your furry friend. Famous for its “Pumpkin Daze” event, this farm has so much to offer, including a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and a charming country store. Feel free to bring your leashed dog along to enjoy the outdoor spaces, making it a fantastic destination for the whole family. Dogs enter free! Find human prices here.

  • Wednesday-Friday (October only): 10 AM – 6 PM
  • September Weekends: 10 AM – 6 PM
  • October Saturdays: 10 AM – 10 PM
  • October Sundays: 10 AM – 6 PM

Quick Tip: The beer & wine tent opens at noon 😉.

2. Captain Jack’s Pumpkin Patch (Plainfield, IL)

Captain Jack’s Pumpkin Patch in Plainfield is an amazing spot for fall lovers. This cozy, family-owned farm welcomes dogs and provides a peaceful environment for you and your pup to have a great time picking pumpkins. Free for dogs and humans!

3. Heap’s Giant Pumpkin Farm (Minooka, IL)

Don’t forget to check out Heap’s Giant Pumpkin Farm in Minooka if you love the fall season and have a furry friend. This farm is famous for its wide variety of pumpkins and enjoyable autumn events. 4. Richardson Adventure Farm (Spring Grove, IL)

Did you know that Richardson Adventure Farm in Spring Grove is home to the world’s largest corn maze? And the best part is, it’s a dog-friendly place! This farm has so many fun fall activities, like a pumpkin patch, and the best part is that you can bring your furry friend along on a leash to enjoy it all. It’s a great place for a day out with your dog. Dogs enter free!

  • Thursday: 3 PM – 9 PM
  • Friday and Saturday: 10 AM – 11 PM
  • Sunday: 12 PM – 9 PM

5. Jonamac Orchard (Malta, IL)

Jonamac Orchard in Malta is a fantastic place to enjoy the fall season with apple orchards, a pumpkin patch, and a fun corn maze. Oh, and just a friendly heads-up – they only allow dogs during the last weekend of October for their awesome Howl-O-Ween weekend! Dogs enter free. Check human pricing here.

6. Tanner’s Orchard (Speer, IL)

Don’t forget this lovely fall spot! Tanner’s Orchard in Speer is a favorite destination for the autumn season. You can enjoy apple picking, explore a pumpkin patch, and have a blast in a fun corn maze. This orchard is even dog-friendly, so you can bring your furry friend along for a wonderful fall day outdoors! Entry is $10 per dog made as a donation to A.R.K.!

  • Daily: 10 AM – 5 PM

You can enjoy activities like wandering through the pumpkin patch and navigating a fun corn maze.
