Some weekends, a pet parent needs one dependable person to stop in, follow the care instructions, and send an update that puts them at ease. That’s where you come in.
Simply Pets is hiring for occasional Saturday and Sunday dog-walking and cat-sitting visits. This is a very part-time role for someone who lives nearby and wants to help when visits are available.

This role has no guaranteed weekly hours. Some weekends may have no visits; others may have just one to four total visits. Visits can be spaced apart, and routes may include more than one town. It works best as supplemental income for someone comfortable with a small, changing schedule.

Location
We’re looking for local applicants in or near Aurora, St. Charles, Geneva, and Batavia. Assignments depend on client needs and route coverage. Living close to the homes you visit matters, especially when a day has only one or two bookings.
Pay and benefits
- $19 per hour, plus tips. Tips and hours vary.
- Paid training and pet first aid/CPR certification.
- W-2 employment, insurance, and workers’ compensation coverage.
- Independent work with support from a local team.
What you’ll do
- Visit dogs and cats in clients’ homes within their scheduled visit windows.
- Provide walks, potty breaks, fresh water, feeding, and litter-box care as instructed.
- Follow each pet’s care notes and check leashes, gates, and doors.
- Send clear journals and photos through our app.
- Flag concerns promptly and keep pets and homes safe and secure.
Before you apply
- Live locally and have your own reliable car and a valid driver’s license.
- Be comfortable caring for both dogs and cats.
- Have a smartphone and be comfortable using our visit app.
- Be able to lift up to 40 pounds and walk varying distances outdoors.
- Be able to pass a background check.
- Have Saturday and Sunday availability and be comfortable with occasional assignments.
- Be dependable, communicate clearly, and commit to ongoing employment for at least six months.
